    thats lthe car lLI sold him, as he got lit. he has since restored ilt cosmetically as car had 8K orig miles and orig paint. Jim Harmon from Oregon did the race car paint them before i got it from Him, Jay loves the car and drives it often to the studio and around town. BILL ALBRIGHT

    Thanks for sharing that, that's awesome. It's sounds like it was a fantastic car to start with. I also love the fact that he's driving it to and from the studio. Was the car a 7x ?

    DSiT IS RESTORED BEAUTIFULLY, YES WITH CAPS AND SKIRTS, NOT A 7X, ORIG MATCHING NUMBER 308 BLOCK, TWIN H WITH STICK OVERDRIVE. TOOK ME 3 YEARS TO FIND THE COUPE HE WANTED. HAS BEEN TO MY SHOP 4 OR 5 TIMES, A GREAT GUY, BILL ALBRIGHT

    Bill, Was the car originally an overdrive or did that get added special for Jay. I think it's great that he wanted the Stick. WHen he comes to the shop , is that for maintinance or just to say Hi ?

    Jay Leno wrote a children's book a few years ago called "If Roast Beef Could Fly" that had great illustrations of his dad's Hudson Hornet. You can view some pics at Amazon.com. I tried to copy the pic, but it seems to be copy protected, or at least copy protected from somebody with my computer skills.

    I would still like to know what the other car was in the garage along side of that Model X Dusenburg that he found. It looked like a rag top coupe of some type. Hey Bill, could you ask Jay next time you talk to him please. Thanks Ron

    I think Dennis Gage, My Classic Car, is going thru the Leno collection on the show next Sunday morning - 4 Dec.; Here in Maine it's on Speed Channel on Sunday at 10am. Tho I doubt Dennis will be interested in a mundane Hudson (like, he just profiled Larry Kennedy's and I can't see him doing it twice in a row - unless it's a Ford, Chevy or something exotic) Leno's Hudsons might be featured.
