Stepdown trim rings???

I don't think that the trim rings were Hudson specific. Mine are ribbed, just like the hub caps, but some prefer the smooth variety. Never really seen any that go behind the hub cap.0

I think K-Gap still carries them. If not, Wheel Vintiques has them, but they are a little pricey.

That kind of money would be better spent on a well made set of vintage stainless rings and having them buffed out.0

Dave,
If you're interested in vintage trim rings rather than after market I know where there are several sets. Some or all will need repair and polishing but if you want I'll check out availability for ya.

I'll see if I can, the fellow doesn't have Internet and is not in the best health right now
other options might be better for you unless you can wait a while.0 -
I have some repro type rings in sets and a bunch of used original ones as well. I guess there are different styles. If you want to email me some pictures of yours I can see if I have any of the same. Or if your interested in some repros I have them as well.
Heres some pics of the repros ( hopefully you can tell the design from the picture)
And a couple of pictures of the used ones we have. We have boxes of them.
My email is :
hudsonparts@hotmail.com
Or you can try calling at (815) 678-2886 but you'll probably have to leave a message I'm the only one here today.
Thanks, ~Mike~0 -
Looking at the second picture from the bottom, the ribbed trim ring marked 15" (as well as the ribbed one in the bottom pic- right hand side) are 40's to 50's era correct according to old school rodders and the Ford Flathead guys. Before the economy went goody, I saw used sets of four original ribbed rings sell on ePay for $150.00! These are the same as I have on my car. They tie in nicely to the design of the original hubcaps. The new style ribbed rings look good too.0
