  • You have some choices here. But note replacement wiring harnesses can be expensive. These guys make quality replacement harnesses and will build to order so you get what you pay for.

The other option, if you're not concerned about it being authentic, is one of the generic "street rod" kits from Ron Francis, EZ Wiring, etc. (take pencil and paper to Safeway- browse through an issue of Rod and Custom or Street Rodder, write down the web address). Those run about 300 bucks, probably a quarter of what you'd spend on an OEM type, and will work fine.

The choice is obviously yours, previous posters have placed U in contact with those who manufacture the OEM style restoragion harnesses using new wires cloaked in what appears to be OEM old style covers. If you have the time and are willing to invest the patience, the best choice will be to remove and replace the current wiring with new wires made from the proper gauge wiring with soldered and/or properly crimpted connectors. The process is not difficult nor is it costly if you take time and use the KISS method. The need for a modern fuse panel may be something you would like and they are available everyday at your neighborhood autoparts desk or eBay auctions for +/- $20 bucks. If you need a schematic that shows the wire gauges I can send that to you.

    Good Luck
