Maybe one of you guys out there knows for sure. I found a crate in our inventory when we were moving. When I opened it up it had 5 wire wheels. At first I thought maybe 29 Essex?? Maybe thats why there were 5??

But then a couple of people mentioned some 50's Hudsons had the wire wheels also. So I'm really not sure.

They are 16 1/2 inches top to bottom.

They are 6 inches on their sides from edge to edge

And 5 inches if you meaure them from inside lip to lip where the tire would seat.

Here are some pictures if anyone knows please let me know, I'm curious and nobody here knows anything about them.

    Kid - Those obviously came to you from Ken Ammen's stock of parts. These were in several loads of Hudson parts I sold to Ken in 2003 before I moved from the property I had lived at for over 38 years. These are defionately wheels used by Hudson on the Step-Down cars - these of course are the painted wheels - they also had them available in chrome. I'm surprised that these wheels had not been sold.;

    those are the correct style for stepdowns. They were available chromed or painted "velchrome". they were used by other makes as well and the white paint may indicate where they came from not that it matters, motor wheel made them for the various manufacturers.

    btw, they are 15x5" not 16 1/2" wheels

    Would those happen to be for sale? I certainly have a use for them . . .
