Hello Everyone, Don from Manitoba Canada here. I have just purchased my first collector car. I am told it is a 1951 Hudson Hornet 2 dr coupe. i think it is a 52, ser# 176687. Which I think is a 52. I am new to this I may have a few questions. Could someone tell me how to throw on a picture?? Thx Don, Thx to Jon B for the help.

    Welcome aboard, lockport! Throw on a pic or two and show us what you've got. A lot of good help here on the forum to help with any aspect of repair you may need. The only dumb questions here are the ones that don't get asked!:)

    Serial number 176687 is a 1952 number - car was built in June 1952 (serial numbers 173241 to 179411.)

    1951 Hudsons have rectangular parking lights; 1952 taper to nearly a point on the outer edge;

    1951 Hudsons have a chrome /\ in the middle of the grille; 1952 don't have the chrome - only the mounting bars, so to speak, inside the grille.

    Alex-

    '53's don't have the /\, I think you'll find the '52's DO have them.

    Except for the '52 Pacemaker. The /\ was omitted on the '52 Pacemaker series.
