47 pickup driver side door striker
Hi, guys,
I am somewhat at a loss here. The striker on the pillar behind the drivers door is missing the upper pawl, so the door won't stay closed. I've got a piece of wood gently propped underneath the door handle, to hold it closed.
Does anyone know where I could get a good one?
Also, I was able to get a 212 and a tranny from a 1946 Super Six. The guy with the car is putting a bellybutton motor in it, in spite of my best efforts to dissuade him.
I haven't had much time to look at the engine or tranny, as I've been dragging a shredder around my property, behind my johnnypopper. Rain in Texas is like steroids for vegetation. The grass grew six inches, overnight, literally.
I'm also looking for the hood bushings, and any bumpers that might go on the fenders and firewall, where the hood comes down.

Rick, check with Al Saffrahn in Arizona. He's got some '41-'47 parts cars. E-mail hetal_saffrahn@q.com. (remove "het" for the actual address).0

Look at www.K-gap.com for the 'hood bumpers'... Be aware, there are three different ones, and you'll probably need sets (left and right) of them all.

As previously indicated, the door stops should be fairly easy to come by. If you don't see them on eBay, try Al S., or possibly Bill Albright.
Nothing on ebay, for the last several days. Thanks for the K-Gap links. I'll be needing ALL of the rubber parts.0 -

I think I have 4 or 5 sets of NOS strikers in my stash. Will look this weekend as I am currently working out of town. Will PM you when I locate them.0
