thanks Nick but our master cylinder needs a sleeve where the seal sits.
I had it sleeved at a nearby machine shop but he machined too much out and caused the mastercylinder to crack at the seal edge . Ray0 -
I just sent my 1954 Hudson Treadle-Vac to Karps Power Brake Service last week, for rebuild and powder coat. Karps, (Jeff Karps) is in Upland, California. I called him first and found him to be extremely knowledgeable about Treadle-Vacs. Call and talk to Jeff, I'll bet he can help you (909) 985-0800, www.resleeve.com. I had used a guy in Portland, Oregon a few years ago but had poor results.0

sounds like you'll be ahead to find another core. its a common unit amoungst mid 50's cars. the rod length and resovoir cap (due to mounting angle differences) may differ but the casting, vacuum cylinder and pistons are the same.thanks Nick but our master cylinder needs a sleeve where the seal sits.
