HET Membership Club Total
I am inquiring on the total number of Members in the HET Club for an Interview that I am going to participate. I read the number in a recent Issue of the WTN but I must have given that Issue away to the person that stopped for info on a '54 Hudson he aquired at an Estate Sale. I quieried the Club's new Web Site but had no luck since I am not real familar yet with the Site ..
Thanks

A couple months back I asked around, if I remember right it was 3,670 active members, on 6 continents,in 50(?) countries.0

Racer, I think that 3,670 figure is high. It may be the total WTNs sent out, which does exceed memberships due to extra copies going to Directors and some others for use as handouts, etc. The most recent Membership Report, as of May 1, was 3,603. Remember that's memberships, most of which represent two people.
An interesting stat, maybe useful for your purpose, is one our membership chairman pulled from the data base for me about four years ago in response to a query from a news reporter: How many Hudson-built cars are owned by your club's members? The answer (for the "lower 48" states only): a few over ten thousand !!!0 -
Park & Walt,
Thank you for your quick response. All the Information will be helpful. I am going to be interviewed by a regional TV Station Thurs morning to do a Historical Special about Hudson, and my passion for Hudson's, begining with racing in the area, then many yrs later doing several restorations
. The Reporter asked me to compile some Data about Hudson, which is no problem since I collected volumes like most enthusiasts.
I plan to mention Hudson's 100th Anniversary and the HET World wide Club's 50th Anniversary with Membership total..
More later if I dont break the camera....0 -
If possible, please make sure you get us a copy of the interview. Maybe have them post it on you tube for you.
P.S. take a hint from the Miss USA contestant: Stay away from any "traditional marriage" questions... LOL0 -
