Bob, you are exactly right. In 52 the wiper motor was moved so that the lengths of cables from previous models made using them obsolete. The driver side was now needing longer cable and the passenger side shorter. I believe this was done to accomodate the twin H setup. I can't think of any other reason. It was really unnecessary. Anyway if you get the correct length of cable onto the 48-51 wiper transmissions you can get them to work but that gets a bit involved.Been there ,done that.0
