Source for Stepdown door lock cylinders?
I've been steadily making progress on my 49 Brougham.
I took the original lock cylinders out (I still have them if re-keying is an option) because I didn't have any keys for the locks.
I'd like to get the locks working again. Is there a source for lock cylinders for the Stepdowns? What do you guys do?

You might try Hemmings Motor News under "keys". My first thought is simply to find the correct key blanks for your car, take the cylinders to a locksmith and have new keys fitted and cut. One of the companies listed, may be able to supply the blanks and make the keys as well.

I have seen NOS cylinders at various Hudson flea markets and on Ebay but it might be easier to satisfy all your lock needs at an expert's, and be done with it.0 -
I'm useing Hillman B-1 keys I got at True Value Hardware, work just fine. Take your cylinder with you to the store to match up. Any locksmith can make the keys in just a few minutes . Door/ignition uses the same blank . Don't know if B-1 is a universal number or brand number. Might be something someone should put on their info site . BUD0
