need a water pump for a 1916 super six!
Hello everyone, I was directed here by a couple of other message boards. They told me that if someone on this forum couldn't help, then no one could. My 94 year old neighbor has a 1916 hudson 7 pass. touring car that was cut down into a gas ration/farm truck decades ago. I have a chance to help him get it started for the first time in a couple of years and tool around in it. The problem is that years ago the water pump froze and cracked. I would like to find the parts to fix it and surprise him with them. I honestly know very little about the engine so if anyone has some diagrams or a pump, basically anything that can help, it would be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

You best bet is to join the Yahoo Groups for 16-29 Hudsons. Finding a pump may be hard but that would be the place. The 16s had the front half of the pump housing integrated with the block so I assume that you are looking for the back bronze half correct? You may want to consider repairing the housing you have. It may be easier to do that finding a replacement.0

Try Dave Kostansek 440-293-4079 before 8pm. Dave has several pre 16 cars, carries mechanical parts (typically for much later) and is very knowledgeable on all years. If dave can't supply you with a pump or the repair he will be able to point you to the right sources.0

Nick's right on, call Dave. Also, a good source for antique parts is Vintage Auto Parts in Arlington, TX. Sorry don't have the #.0
