I just spotted this over at the AACA forums. It's from a Craigslist in Kansas:

1930 Essex , very rough, 4 door, some salvagable pieces or yard art, bill of sale only, $300.00. For more information please call 1-785-453-2481. Thanks.

Here is a link to the actual listing, though it may soon disappear from view:

That Essex is actually an Erskine. (Studebaker's unsuccessful attempt to emulate Hudson with a smaller car.)
  • i was sitting here thinking that really doesnt look like my 31.
  • I just recently purchased this car and the Id tag says its a studebaker I bought it as a essex I looked all over at different essex's and none looked like it. I am not sure what year it is exactly the I-D tag is coroded but I can make out that is says The Studebaker Corporation. Been looking all over and I seen my new car so I thought I would stop in and say hi and I will probaly need a little info now and then Thanks. not to sure what year yet.
  • It is a 1927 Studebaker Erskine -50- W I recently purchased for $250.00. I was told it was an Essex 1930 but after looking around I found it at members.tripod.com/erskine-registry. or one that looks just like it but better condition. now I have to start finding parts probaly making parts will be cheaper
