Rep Power
Up in the top right hand corner to the right of our names it posts the date, how many posts we have entered and something called REP POWER..
What the heck is that all about and if you have a high number like an 8 are you
better than someone like me who has a 5?
Whats the highest number and how do I get one?

Good question... I wonder why I am at 450 and only a 3? Did I do something wrong. Is your lower score higher if you start more posts? What is this all about?0

What do the green squares mean? :cool:0

If you pass your mouse over the green square a comment will appear, probably put there by the ADM , just a guess . If you click on the balance scale on a post you can leave rep power for the member who posted it . This is usually done when someone thinks you have been especially helpfull . You can click on your own post scale and it will tell you how many rep points you have to date . BUD0

Click on the scales next to the post number. It asks you if you want to up-ding or down-ding the post. Updings give people rep points, downdings take away.0

Thanks for the information... am I missing out on anything else?
Is this like "On A Need To Know Basis" and I don't need to know,
or did I miss school that day?
FYI... the three hardest years I had in school was the sixth grade!

So, where do you learn this kind of stuff? And why is it important?0

Don't really see that it is all so important or accurate either , new guys that need and get the most help don't have the least idea what it is . LOTS of good info passed on with out rep points being given every day on here . ___BUDSo, where do you learn this kind of stuff? And why is it important?0 -
geez, you guys need me to drop by and explain everything?
click on the scales of justice, and give someone reputation points.
Can only do it once and a while
do a search for reputation, I think I explained it once a year or two back
take care everyone!

Thought you were dead or something!:p0 -
nah, actually worked on my hudson today.
Working on getting everything hooked back up. I needed to put something in to take up the play in the clutch pedal bushing to transmission, so I thought I would find something quick, but that turned out to be a long project, involving hudsondad, and hours of work for what turned out to be a $5 part from KGAP, don't tell him, he will be less than thrilled to hear... I didn't know.... but now it has a terrific oillite bushing, and urethane insert, that should last forever, but surely there is a lot more than $5 time in it... Sure is solid tho....
Hope to have it running this weekend.0 -
There must be something else involved on the rep thing. If that many people don't know about it how do any of us have any rep points. I think I am a 5 or so and had no idea how I got there, to add to that I have never known anything about the scale thing so I have never rated anything of anybody else's myself. The important thing is that we are all here to help each other and keep Hudson's on the road.0
