Hey All,

I need to flush the clutch on the 50 Super Six I'm trying to get ready for next week. I tried to get thri choral ethane that Ken Cates suggests on his website, nobody knows anything about it, even my local pharamasist. So, I'm looking for an alternative. It's one of the last things I have to do before I'm gonna say I'm done and relucantly return it to its owner. My plan si to do it today, at least that's my goal. Dr. Doug sent me the hudsonite so I'm sitting on ready.

Please help asap. I'll check here every once in a while, or if ya could call, my # is 517-960-5832. If I don't answer, leave a message.

  • Kim - you should be able to trichloroethylene at any good hardware store. Look for "carbo-sol"- Sunnyside Brand. 4 parts of this with one part of acetone. Norm:)

the original factory recommendation is part acetone & part carbon tet. I believe carbon tet either no longer made or not avail. to the general public. I have a bottle of it I've had for approx. 15 years.

If use the right stuff, flush as recommended, it should smooth out your clutch.

    Good luck.

You sure it isn't 'Carbo-chlor' by Sunnyside?
