Russell, I would love to see pics of any attending 1917 or 1929 Hudsons.
I missed the meet by a several weeks. Working on getting out of Afghanistan right now. Joe Delaney allowed me to sit in and listen to the BOD meeting this morning by bringing me up on Skype. We have a great club with a lot of great people!

If you need better or different kinds of shots, let me know, please. See an earlier post on calling me or getting back to me.
Mr Chilton
Thank you for your posting the pictures I requested. I will send you an e-mail to see the pictures in larger format. The ones you have taken are great. I have no project I need them for just a strong curiousity.
I am very pleased to see so many unique and rare Hudson/Essex/Terraplane's in one spot. I will go to a National, however this year was not in the cards for me.

Hey, I got to meet Russ! And he wasn't grouchy or curt, either...:D0

Russell -- unfortunately, due to cancer taking the key man in my Company a short time ago, I am stuck at the office, and not able to attend this year's National, ---- but I AM there in spirit, big time, and thanks to your pictures I feel I've even made a bit of a "walkabout" as well.
Many, many thanks for the pictures so timely, my friend --- they've undoubtedly made a huge difference to those of us who are sitting home wondering practically hourly how its going over there.
I'll be at the Canadian Nationals in Cardston, Alberta, July 25th. but that's just a weekend jaunt for me, and the best I can do for now.
WISH I WAS THERE !!!

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. Thanks for letting me know of your situation, I'll stop fervently craning my neck looking for you.:) My to do list seems to get smaller by the hour, which is a good thing, but it only reminds me that it will too soon be time to head back to the routine.0 -

Yummmmmmmmmm...Terraplanes...several at one time!:) Gotta love that!
That '39 ragtop looks like Kelly Hinegardner's old car. Always liked that one!
Nice pics all around, Russell, on behalf of those who could not attend!0 -
Besides the Jet Convertable, It would be nice if we had some more photos of the X-161. They are both the only ones made.0

Russ, great work and many thanks from those who are getting up each day and going to work and missing the fun back there. I was excited to see the Railton and the 39 convertible. I will be looking for your email to get a glance of more of these two cars. Thanks Much.....0

I think the high was 82 today, gentle breezes, mostly sunny. Nights low's have been around low 60's or so. I'm certainly not missing our 20-some-odd days of 100+ weather. You know, it's been so hot, there's not even any dew at my place in the mornings.0 -
Here's some more. Many more showed up today. Someone told me there's a '52 ( I think) Wasp convertible here. Probably the only one left . . . maybe.0

Jet Convertible:0

This is an extremely nice original car, a '33 Terp Convertible.0

Russell, thanks a million! You're great. Wonderful pics!0

Hi Russell (& any other photographers)
I'm really enjoying your HET photos at the Nats. I'm particularly interested in photos of any 1928 Essex RS Coupes you come accross.:):)
Thanks Dave Young

Love the Jet convertible! Thanks Russ for all of us that couldn't be there...0

The jet convertible is fantastic. It is easy to see that if this were built as a production Hudson it would be very popular. Fabulious car.... And, by the way, great photo....0

The past three days have been great. Everyday after work I have been able to stop by for a few hours and walk the lots. The wife and I ran into Walt M. a very nice gentleman (with whom I think we are all familiar) and a friendly couple from Kansas who was more than happy to share their Hudson stories with us. They even contacted a friend of theirs who was selling 50 Pacemaker for me. Wont be able to make it back until Friday hopefully there are some diehards still around.
Thanks for the coverage Russell, I should be able to get me stuff on the net tonight, took some great video and snaps last night.0 -
Russell, there is a 52 Wasp Convertible black car with a white top that was purchased from Charlie Harris several decades ago. The son of the man who purchased that car is now the owner. The car is original and I have never seen another. A recent posting by Glenn of pictures from the Yipsillanti Orphan meet contained a picture of that car. Last time I actually saw the car in person was at the HET nationals in Golden Colorado.0

Notice, I said "LOOKS LIKE", not "IS". I know Kelly's is a '38. Whomever the car belongs, or belonged, to, it's nice.
I like the way the Jet came out. Lots of work in that one, without a doubt. That's a car Hudson screwed up in not building to sell. I think it's a far more interesting car than the X-car or the Italia!
Sounds like everyone is having a good time! Any pictures yet of any of the Hudson facilities?0 -

Fantastic job on the pictures for us po' folk that live 1300+ miles away!! Wish I could have made it this year. Any pictures of the 1928-1932 age group? Doesn't look like many made it as mostly 1933 and newer show on the pictures.
Keep up the good work!

That car showed up for part of Tuesday, and never saw it. I asked around and Nick S. told me that it indeed was here, but had not come back today. We are leaving in the morning and I probably will not see it. Trust me, once I heard it was around, I scoured the lots, but to no avail. I figured it very well could be the only one like it left.0 -

Can't remember what color it was but I have seen some info on a Wasp convert that was for sale that was previously owned buy an airline pilot. This was a few years back so I don't remember the details. I'm thinking that John Soneff in DEN had sold it.0
