This device is the fill the Hudson clutch with the correct amount of fluid. After draining the clutch you move that port to the open area above the starter and the filler tube is inserted. fill the can and you have a proper refill. This device appears several times in Hudson merchandisers as a tool to make clutch servicing easier.0

I gathered that.0

Can you post the dimensions of the fill can? I'd like to fabricate one for my 35 Terraplane.

That fill tool is nothing but a can sold by Motor parts stores in my part of the country. With a piece of copper tubeing fastened in one end. The clutch oil came in the new can. A 1/2 pint brake fluid can with a funnel shaped top and screw on cap makes a better one. Cut the bottom out of can punch a hole in cap and solder a 1/4 inch copper tube about 2 feet long and theres your fill tube. measure up 6 ounces Hudsonite and pour it in. You cant run down to the NAPA store and pick a new can anymore.0

i think that's kinda the point, that you can't just go down to the store and pick up one of these cans anymore.0

If you could scan the outside of the can, the images could easily be used to recreate a sticker to restore or make new units...0
