Should it be called the National? Or maybe International more appropriate

Hi all,
It was really amazing to see the international presence at the National meet. In an earlier post on the forum, someone called it the International meet. It's actually a very interesting thought. . .
Does it make sense to call it the "National", or does it make sense to call it the "Hudson-Essex-Terraplane International Meet"
I saw members from Canada, Sweden, New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. I'm sure more were in attendance. It truly was a global event.

It could indeed be called an "international" meet - I think there is one from England that makes every national. His name slips my mind at the moment (I know - What mind??)

C'mon Alex...how about Pat...Pat...Pat McDonald (or was it another fellow and his wife-whose names slip my mind at this time...see, it happens to all of us)! The meet was touted as an 'International' from early on as we were alerted to a group from Australia and New Zealand that planned to come to Pontiac. The groups from these two countries were a real pleasure to be around, and I think our membership from the U.S. made them feel very welcome, and we were very fortunate to enjoy their company (not forgetting our guests from Canada, Sweden, Peru...and I think I missed a couple of others). Wish you could have stayed, Alex, I think you would have enjoyed Bill Chapin's speech!0 -
