This is not Hudson per se, but it may get one thinking of the possibilities of what you might be able to do with a Hudson flat head! When I first got into Hudsons one of my buddies at the time said we should put a 308 in a Corvette, will ths is not exactly it but close!



This is an actual car. The guy pictured here with his wife bought this '68 Corvette new. Drove the SBC until it crapped out in the mid 70s with 100K+ on the odometer. He bought a crate 170 Cu In. Studebaker Champ flathead 6 to save on gas during the oil crisis of the 1970s and has put on another 100K+, with one rebuild on the Stude 6 at about 100K.



Who says you need a SBC w/ chrome for your hot rod!

    got to love it! imagine one with a little 202 twin-H Jet motor in it....

    always nice to get back at the Chevy guys who claim you can't have reliability

    without a 350 Chevy....

    As an owner of a '82 Collector's Edition Corvette, I would say he limited his pool of potential buyers if he ever wanted to sell it. Yes, it's unique, and I'm sure he surprises lots of people at shows, but he's still limited his chances of selling. I wouldn't advise someone to pull the motors out of a '70 hemi Cuda, or a '70Chevelle SS 454 and install a different motor either.



    To me, that's like taking off a Twin-H, and installing a single carb system.



    Funny, this coming from someone that put a Chevy motor in his Hudson! (ha)

    But he bought the car new in '68 . . . pretty sure he has no interest in selling it!!

    Any word from the owner on the handling? Often an underpowered in-line six can keep ahead of a V8.
