1928 Hudson Super Six RS coupe. I just spotted this. Real nice looking and the price doesn't seem outlandish (at least, so far!). Apparently a no-reserve auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Other-Makes-Super-Six-1928-Hudson-Super-Six-2-door-rumble-seat-coupe_W0QQitemZ290345336534QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item4399ee3ed6&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245

doesn't have the great '28 "flying lady" hood ornament but the god-awful leather/vinyl uph. definitely detracts. Does have bumpers (not std. on '28) & otherwise looks pretty "straight up" as Jon says. Looks like may have original vac. tank (always a "clue" to me as to originality).

There was a BEAUTIFULLY restored '28 H cp. at Pontiac - maybe someone has pics of it they can post?

Thanks Matt - sure a beauty.

I happened to be standing in the parking area when he drove in, the cars "1st time out". He had on his name tag and I recognized the name. We had corresponded about 25 or more years ago so introduced myself as he had come to L. A. & stopped by my place - we b.s.ed a while but hadn't heard from nor seen him since.

He has, as far as I know, the only extant '27 shop manual with all the '28 & '29 updates, in essence a complete shop manual for the F-head engined Hudsons - it inc. color & uph. "chips" as I recall. He had it with him at Pontiac but we never had a chance to get together so I could look thru it (when he came to L. A. he had not brought it; at that time I had several '29 Hudsons which is why he came to see me).

Pete, didn't someone in the Club, actually find all the component pieces of that manual and put them together at some point ('27 thru '29 manuals, supplements, updates, dealer notices etc.) and Xerox the whole kit and kaboodle?

It would seem to be a manual that a lot of people could use, inasmuch as we have quite a few '27-29 Hudsons out there. People with a '29 shouldn't have to spend their whole lives collecting all the bits and pieces in order to have a complete shop manual!

Sorry to hijack this thread but then it's MY thread and I guess I can do what I want with it, LOL!

Jon - I'm not sure about that as sold my last '29 & a pile of parts I'd amassed 5 - 10 years ago; maybe some others will check in regarding that?

It seems to me he complained that he'd loaned it, or parts of it, and someone had reproduced it & sold it which he told them specifically NOT to do. He's still miffed about that.

I think he has been a member on/off over the years & had recently acquired the '28 cp. shortly before I initially met him.
