This looks like the real deal right here:

They are guesstimating $60-80K.

  • I believe this car sold or was offered on eBay in the past. Check back posts...

Would it really sell for over $60K??? Orange peeled paint, Vinyl interior, et al?

In this economy, I doubt it.

If you can, find a copy of the Henry Rasmussen book entitled Decade of Dazzle. The car on the cover appears to be this one or a close relative. A close up pic of it in the forward shows a really tired car.

I hate to pick it apart but what the hey...

Wrong engine color ('54 or up, unless they painted it wrong)

Wrong Air Filters (looks like a Wasp one in back)

Can't tell a whole lot from the pictures but it sure would have been nice to see if it had backup lights. I doubt it.

$60 to 80 K. Too rich for me.
  • Pretty sure this came out of the Astor collection, the same one that the Barrit limo came out of. I saw it in person. It sold for about the same price which was sixty ish. More than double what I think it is worth. Nice solid car with wrong interior, etc. I'd consider it a high # 3 car .
