Pigeon Forge
Bob Hickson has asked me to let everyone know that the Hudsons in the Heartland meet AKA Pigeon Forge meet is planned this year to be on Oct 29-Nov. 1st. Please make your reservations at the Vacation Lodge as this is the host motel. Their number for reservations is: 800 468 1998. Let them know you're with the Hudson club for the added discount on the room rental fee. Check your latest WTN for more details. For those who haven't made it to this meet before, it is well worth it. On a personal note I hope Bob can make it .

I was just coming to post a meet reminder:
October 29 - November 1, 2009:
The Smoky Mountain Heartland and Mid-South Chapters invite one and all to the 20th Annual Hudsons In The Heartland multi-chapter meet. By popular demand, the meet will again be held in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, action packed Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Our host motel is the Vacation Lodge, located on US Hwy. 441 at Traffic Light #7. H-E-T’ers will receive special group rates of $60 for single Queen, $70 for double Double and $75 for double Queen. Upgraded rooms are available at an additional cost. The entire Lodge has been blocked for the H-E-T Club. All reservations must be made by October 1 in order to guarantee the group rate. Rooms not reserved by that date will be released to the public. To make reservations, call 1-800-468-1998 (865-453-2640, In Tennessee), ask for Kathy, and specify you are with the Hudson Club (a one night deposit is required, and there is a 10% Cancellation Fee). There will be a Hospitality Suite, Swap Meet area in back and the fabulous Low Country Boil on Saturday, with Live Music. Door Prize drawings and a 50/50 Raffle will be held, as well as Awards for the Oldest H-E-T and Longest Distance Driven. The Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area offers a variety of shopping, dining, shows and attractions sure to please everyone. You can walk, drive, or catch the Pigeon Forge Trolley, which stops in front of the Lodge. There's so much to see and do, we encourage you to come early and stay late. To RSVP for the Boil, contact Bill Cox, 6933 Sunstrand Drive, Knoxville, TN, 37924. Phone: (865) 368-5692, E-Mail: smokymtnhetclub@gmx.net. Website: http://www.smokymtnhetclub.org.

A really good meet, with good Hudson folk, nice HET cars/trucks,
have-to-have parts, great food, places to shop. If you dont want to do those things, just drive around till you find something, or ride the trolley. Ya'll come. Thanks, Bob0 -
We will be there just to make sure Bobby and the usual crowd is there . As usual we will be at the KOA across the street. Got our reservations last night.0

Matt: Is Dad bringing the 46 down from NY when they come to attend PF meet? Hope all is well with them. I was in NY earlier this year to visit with my parents.
Have fun at the meet.0 -

Nope, not yet. I need to get some space situated and then work out transportation (and cost) . My brother in law delivered the Pacemaker for me, so I'll probably try to recruit his services for the 46. I talked my parents into coming down for a visit, it helps that the Hudson Meet is going on too.
