TRADES CONSIDERED
I realize I would be trading my mechanical problems for cosmetic ones however,
I would be willing to a take a trade on this car for the following cars:
Any ’48-’53 step-down that is a solid runner ready to put a few thousand miles on it. It’s ok it if needs paint, chrome, or interior but must be a solidly running relaible car mechanically. Runs, drives, stops. Has solid frame.
I’ll take any model ’54 Coupe. But must again be a runner meeting the same criteria as above.
’46 – ’47 4 door Sedan or coupe, in solid runner condition.
’55-’57 Hudson must have either a Hudson engine or the 327 do not want a Packard motor. Must have the folding bed option. Must be a solid runner. Prefer that it has a continental kit.
Any ’29 – ’31 4 door sedan or 7-passenger sedan. Running or not, even if needing a complete restoration, but must be complete parts wise and have a solid frame. It’s ok if it’s missing the engine / transmission. Dual side-mounts highly highly preferred.

Aaron,
Sorry to hear you're "throwing in the sponge" regarding the Pacemaker. But, maybe it's time for someone else to have a try at it. Hope it sells soon to a good home and you get your price too.

Not necessarily giving up yet. But I really hate to have the car sit through another winter with nothing be done for it and if I can get that price and it gets a good home I'm willing to part with it. I'll put the money into my '47 Commodore 8 sedan. My ultimate goal is to have two Hudson's fully running driving, and restored so that I'll have a Hudson to drive anytime I want to for a meet or just for fun. This just might be a roundabout way of getting there.
From the standpoint of the car being a historic artifact, I want to know this car is going to last another 50 years and I'm not sure if I'm the best person to make sure that's going to happen right now.0 -

That makes perfect sense! But a '78 Thunderbird? We need to have a talk . . .0 -

LMAO. Yeah I know it's not a rare car or anything like that in fact they produced more of them in '78 than any other year. However it was both the year I was born and also the first car I ever owned. So has some sentimental value. Electrical systems on those cars were not very good though.0 -

I figured it had to be something like that. Can't argue with sentiment . . .0 -
Would you have any pictures of your car anywhere on the net I could see?

Here's some pics of the car on the web (the green one) http://hudsonpix.multiply.com/photos/album/7/Replacement_50_Pacemaker_Sedan
I can Email additional ones to anyone interested.0 -
Aaron,
I don't think I'd give up on that car if I were you. Mechanical things are easier fixed than making one look like yours.
Very nice looking Pacemaker, I'll forward the address on to my cousin - he was expressing a desire for a Hudson lately.
