48 Hudson Street Rod project.. FOR SALE 4500.00
I LOOKED FOR A FEW YEARS TO FIND THE CAR I WANTED.
BUT NOW WITH DEVORCE AROUND THE CORNER I MUST PART WITH IT.
SOME OF YOU GUYS HERE MAY KNOW THE PREVIOS OWNER.(Bob Tarpenning)
He started to modify the '48 Hudson 4dr several years ago, got to this point and had to stop for open heart surgery. He Got back to his projects about 3 months later but never worked on this one again. Now he is 75 and still have 5 more projects. So he needed to sell this one.
It's a '48 Hudson 4dr Super. Not rusty and strait. He installed a Camaro clip, a crate 305 with about 10,000 miles on it, a 700R4 and a Ford 9".
The front rotors were redrilled to 4.5" bolt pattern to run Hudson wheels. I He replaced the upholstry and headliner. The engine has TB injection. I have all the front sheet metal. The chrome was redone. He painted the firewal and door jams. (have the paint to match) new side glass and the window channel. $4500.00. cash

GRIZZ, I certainly agree on a quick fix. This setup alone will cost more than the total car offer. We are "Hot Rodding" a 49 Plymouth at the Comm College with an identical set up. Parts alone are for example-$700 for the rebush, etc. of the camero front end-$1600 for a basic 305 crate,700R4 or 4L60 non E model is about $400 if you buy used and do it yourself, "Beast" sun shell is at least $50 bucks. I can go on but think one would get the car and paint job "free".Oh, the throttle body and PCM and steering wheel, shaft amd gears aint but so cheap much less the PB and A/C set up.Plus you need a hell of a lot of experience etc to get it together. Along with me there are three ASE Mastrer certified instructors as well as an ICAR body instructor and it is still a challenge

I noticed a somewhat different installation of the door rubber. I wonder if it works better than the kgap stuff I used?0

I feel for the poor car as it has to open it's hood and be embarrased at all the car shows.0
