Severe usage gas tank question

Does anyone know about the location and size of the "severe usage" gas tank offered for the stepdown? Did it replace the stock or was it located elsewhere?

    I don't even know the difference between the two, but I'm guessing the location is the same, just larger capacity.

    Russell, You are exactly correct. The severe usage tank was nothing more than a 25 gallon tank that was in the same location the 20 gallon one was. Heavier tank straps were about the only improvement over the sock straps. If you can get ahold of one of the Origins of Speed 1/18 scale diecast racing model Hudsons, you'll see a really good representation of a racing tank on the car.
