1954 308 flywheel

I'm looking for a 1954 308 flywheel, or an aftermarket swap. I didn't see anything in the swaps manual. Any ideas.

    Hudson 48-54 except Jet ALL fit but are different for stick or automatic transmission.

    The bolts from my 51 manual shift, are smaller than the bolts in the 54.

    232 w/o od had 9" clutch therefore would be a differnt flywheel.

    the 55-56 would have significantly less bolt holes as it was a dry clutch and no drain hole.

    Every model with overdrive had the 10 inch clutch. Walt.

    seems to be some different opinions, I just returned from Ohio and took a look, the 51 has studs, 54 flange has bolts, what do I need to use to mesh my 51 3spd to the 54 engine. thanks guys.

    Sounds like you have a 55 engine. I'm sure others will chime in as to how to adapt it to a stepdown. never been there myself.

    If you have the 55-56 engine, to use the 54 flywheel you will have to buy a 1/2 inch adapter, which we have members making or change the crankshaft to a 51 to 54. Walt.

    well, I guess de-stroking the 308 with the 232 crank is making more and more sense.

    I am not aware of anybody making the 55-6 crank adapter to the '54& earlier Std. flywheel, but as Walt points out-Change the crank to the 51-54. You will save yourself a bunch of aggrevation. Also by using the 51-54 crankshaft, it will make all the clutch parts standard for your car.
