runnig again

:pKept tinkering with my '49 and finally got it running again. Last time I drove it, there was a miss and sometime a hesitation on a pull, like going up a long grade. Removed the distributor, checked the points and they were set at 17 thousands, I reset them to 20 thousanths, put the distributor back in and no spark. Went through some coils and finally found one working. Compression stroke, put the distributor back in, turned it a little, hit the starter and she fired right up. Adjusted the distributor a little, engine smoothed out and now I am not frustrated. I will have to take it out for a shake down this weekend. Sorry I can not make Laughlin this year.. Arnie in Nevada
