37 hudson tailgate info

I need to get the measurements from a 37 Terraplane PU tailgate for reproduction. Mine is missing. I have a guy that will stamp out the letters and need the size and spacing for those as well.

    I don't think there is lettering on the tailgate of a 37. think they only started lettering tailgates in 41.

    that's right..forgot about the 38, 39, 40 also having different stampings. guess tailgate lettering started in 38.

    Also found somthing else while researching this subject. I pulled out 37 Terraplane Commercial cars brochure to see if I could tell with a picture. Not a good picture of tailgate, but in looking at the bed specs for both 117" vs 124" wheelbases, the bed specs are the same for both. Looks like the rear end just sets further back in the bed fender well.
