I`m new to Hudsons and looking for advice and info on them. I restore T`s&A`s and have ten or so of them, 4 are done and several to go. No I do not sell them, my boys will have them when I`m gone to carry on in my place if they so choose. I had a friend give me a 41 Hudson that he aquired thru a trans-action. He said I deserved what I got. LOL. First, in line of my many questions, does it have neg. ground on the battery? Also how is the parts avalability? What an where do I start looking for books and catalogs? I`need all upolstry. I need a tin water jacket that bolts on the drivers side. I should have said that it has a straight 8 cyc.     As Jon says joining the H-E-T (Hudson-Essex-Terraplane) club is also a very good idea. We put out a great magazine 6 times a year (1st class, tho a little more expensive, is the way to go as you'll get the publication quicker. We also have a great club store - but most important we've got some 3600 of what I consider the greatest people in the world. As I have told people over the years, I've belonged to several car clubs - but those have gone away and I'm still with the HET club. I just got my 40 year pin!!!! Lot of years and not one regret - except maybe I don't have a Hudson. Such is life.

    There are a lot of parts under 'Hudson' in eBay motors. I have seen the water jacket recently but who knows. Maybe somebody will post here with one. Incidentally, Geoff Clark, from NZ who posts here, put me on to one of the holes in the jacket which is directly opposite a web in the block and should be redrilled for better cooling.

    We also have a "paper" library which is separate from the On-line library.



    Once you join H-E-T, you'll find the librarian listed in the WTN. The paper library has much more material than the on-line version. One of these days I got to get my hands on that one and try to get it on-line, maybe. :D

    I've bought a few manuals from Faxon, they are very good reproductions, not your average 'xerox' copies.

    Welcome to the world of Hudsons!

    I've often wondered how well Faxon copies sold, considering their prices.

    I know the stuff I used to advertise at well below Faxon prices didn't attract much interest so I put most of it in the on-line library. I'm considering putting the General Information Handbook on-line - I just feel that it really wouldn't be fair to those who have bought a copy. Oh, well - such is life.

    LOL, you remind me of Cousin Bubba, Alex, from somewhere in your new neck of the woods. He's a pretty big fella, and they asked him how much he'd lost on Herbalife. He replied 'bout 800 dollars so far'.



    I'll never make any money on Hudsons even if I sell em all, but shoot, how can ya put a price on fun and serving your fellow man?

    That's what keeps it going Uncle Josh - if one person finds a use for whatever I've taken the time to put on-line, then it's worth every minute it took me.
