Are these the elusive rear wheel bearing for stepdowns?

NATIONAL Part # 25877 {Taper Bearing Cone; Bore=1.375" Length=0.9688" Radius=0.062"}

Rear Wheel

I found this at RockAuto Parts on-line. They are only asking $16.00 each. If they are to spec and size, I think I might just get a set.

Always nice to have a source.

  • Not quite..... The real deal is a Timken 25877T. That last bit of information is critical. If there is no"T" then it's just a regular roller bearing fit for Hudsons built from mid 1952 to 1954. That "T" indicates that it was the special made bearing for the tapered Hudson axles.I believe Bower and Fafnir also had the same bearing number but Timken was the major OEM. Your 1950 Pacemaker needs the 25877T bearing assuming it has the origional style rear end.

    Don't think you're going to find many for 16.00, though I did pay 22 a piece for the last two I bought. With tax and delivered right to my desk the following day, 46.64 total (i have the receipt tacked to wall next to my desk). Yes they were T's and no they don't have any more.
