FWIW, my Amsoil dealer advised me not to use synthetic oil in my '37 T because the gaskets will leak.

Sorry Walt. I didn't think to ask you about it at Laughlin. Good to hear your experience with synthetic oil was positive. The reason I was asking about oil leak was because 2 out of 3 of my cars did start leaking after switching to synthetic oil. I was wondering if this was a coencident or if it was common to synthetic oil. So I was looking for feedback from anyone who had switched.

The synth blends are around 75% conventional oil and 25% synth oil. That mix would be less likely to cause leaks than pure synthetic.
My brand x that I use synthetic in doesn't leak, but it specifies that I use pure synthetic oil - so it was designed for it.0 -
