On '53 Sedans: Were the stainless steel arm rests incorporated on the inside of the doors? If not, was there an ashtray as std. equipment mounted in the center of the back of the front seat?

Yes Russ, they eliminated the ash trays in the doors, and mounted a good sized unit in the middle of the back of the front seat. On two doors, each seat back had a smaller unit in the middle of each seat back.

O.k., mostly just curious. I saw a '53 modified this weekend and happen to notice the large ashtray on this particular sedan. Guess I never paid close enough attention to it before.0
