Sent for Vin

Hi all, A progress report

I sent the coupe into the certifier yesterday to have all the engineering all signed off, which I had to supply x-rays of the front st/st A frames, break pedal assembly and the speed o calibration and report from a break testing machine to show the brakes and hand break were up to speed, and the original cad drawings that I supplied to the LTSA for the build, I was lucky that we got a dispensation for the noise as she is a bit loud like a lot of the girls can be LOL, so this allows me to get my VIN number, this stage has passed with flying colors and now is waiting for Monday morning so she goes to our Land Transport Safety Authority so they do the final signing off so I can go for a warrant of fitness

I can get the plates that I have had on hold for 4 years (31 Essx), this will be the 1st time its been on the road officially since 1945, if they had warrants back then, I have had use of some compliance plates and have put about 400 miles on her in the last month or so with only 1 break down when the fuel sender got on the side of the gas tank and the fuel gauge said I still had between 1/4 and 1/2 full, boy I got some stick from those Toyota drivers and of course it had to be peak traffic time and I was only 1/2 a mile from work

Iam trying to save some money to get all the upholstery done but I feel that will take a while as everyone I seem to talk to, are talking around the 12k NZ mark, Phew

this will be a big day when I bolt on the plates to be legal, its a bit like coming of age and be legal to do all sorts of stuff LOL
