Still No K-Gap Communications?
Hi Everyone....Does anyone know how to reach the folks at K-Gap? I read last months posting about them moving but they still do not have a working phone number and do not answer emails at all.
Any ideas? My daily driver is on hold till I can get parts from them. I've been waiting for 4 months now for parts I ordered. How long I need to wait till those "nice" people get it together?
Before you all shout me down with grand statements how nice the Springs are, I have one question before you do...If your refrigerator, daily driver, furnace, water, dry cleaner etc did not have a working phone number, a P.O. Box as an address, and did not answer emails at all, not even to tell you that they are working things out or have supplier troubles.....How long would you put up with it? My daily driver Hudson is waiting 4 months for parts without a word from the so very nice owners of K-Gap. So I live without my car while these great business people are incognito. Right.

what parts do you need?0 -
I know how you feel. I ordered some parts from KGAP just before the negative posts began. It was only for a $100.00, and I paid for them with Paypal. I was told the parts would be there by 11/16/09 in an email. When they didn't arrive, I sent a few emails and never got a response. Since you have to act within a certain time frame, I asked for a refund and got my money back from Paypal. I would have waited for the parts if only they would have responded to my emails to let me know if the parts were back-ordered, in transit, or whatever. I guess I should have called first.0

I've called and left a message, PLUS emailed them with a parts availability request two weeks ago...nothing.0

Have been reading everyone's comments and agree. Guess we all need to have patience with K-Gap these days. Ordered rubber suspension parts on 10/9 with the intial order received pretty quickly. A few items were back-ordered, was advised they would ship in 10-days. Back-ordered parts were received on 12/7 to complete the order. As everyone has written, I too sent e-mails with no response. Just glad to have what I need.0

As I remarked earlier, they are out of a lot of stuff, will discontinue some products because they can't find manufacturers. I have had success only when I called and talked to someone. If they had the item, I got it in due course.0

Do you belong to the Hudson Essex Terraplane Club? If you do, I'd recommend getting out your roster and calling a few folks you know to see if they have the part you need, or know of another member that may have what you need in their parts stash. Personally, I have a KGAP rubber kit for Jet that I never have taken the time to install. If that's what you need, I'd be glad to sell it to you. I'm sure you'll find that Hudson club members are kind and accomodating, and will bend over backwards to help you get your car on the road.0 -

Better it is going to someone that can use it, and a little cash in my pocket, with my being jobless this winter. I may soon find myself selling off all my Hudson stuff, including the '53 Coupe if the current situation drags on. It's kinda like killing my soul a bit at a time till nothings left. Better I sell it all off, use up the funds, then die, rather than die with all this stuff and the state divvy it up....
Hope you can find work soon, so you don't have to part with your coupe. I'm fortunate in that I have a decent pension and am able to find part-time work. It's a tough time for working people.0 -
I really don't think this forum should be a venting outlet for complaining about other members and their business practices. We are all adults, and should take care of it yourself. All this wining and complaining has driven several Hudson parts suppliers out of the business. If you have a problem , get a refund and move on.0

Ken,Your one of the best Hudson mechanics I know. Many people here need work on their Hudsons. I highly recomend you, to anyone who needs work on their Hudsons. That might help you for a while to make ends meet until something full time comes up.0 -

Of course we should be taking care of fellow members! Why would you not? I just placed an $1,100 order today with K-gap. I will tell every about the service, good service or bad.0
