As far as I know, only the Super Sixes up to 1929 had Hudson embossed on the rear valve chamber cover.

55,56 packard and 56 57 amc engines had a decal on the valve covers 55,56 chrome with printinghornet v8 that looks like a fender rocket : 56,57 amc engine green or black saying hornet

    v8
  • Do you mean the tappet covers? As most know my eight has raised HUDSON letters on the head but the tappet covers have nothing on them.
  • No ,not quite what Paul meant. The V8 engines that Paul was referring to were the Packard built 327's that AMC was getting. They were overhead valve engines and had the "Hornet" decal on them. Hudson never had anything other than "HUDSON' or "POWER DOME' on their flathead blocks. There was nothing on the tappet covers other than what has earlier been related by a previous post.
