The Hudson chatroom continues, though it isn't quite as busy as it used to be, nowadays. It's still at http://classiccar.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=66

In a pinch, just look at the top of this page and select COMMUNITY. Then click on LEGACY CHATS and you'll see a link to it in the drop-down menu.

Ah for the good old days of 24/7 Hudson chit chat, so many people trying to get on at the same time, topics that ranged from Aardvarks to Zebra's and everything in between.

Those were the days, my friends.

And then the Classicar site went down in the .com crash - and suddenly Hudson wives found their husbands with nothing to do. So they were dragooned into the "honey do" brigades. And thus were no longer around to fill the chat page with stories and tips and chit chat when it returned.

Oh, there were a few that came back, but not like the old days. Then ClassicCar crashed and most of those who had avoided the dreaded "honey do" brigade were caught and put to work. And so the chat page languished, waiting forlonly for chatsters to come and chit chat again, when it returned for it's 2nd incarnation.

    Then came the
FORUM!!!!!! Not a chit chat page, per se. But all topics, from Aardvarks to Zebras, once again had a venue. And they came. The speakers posted words of advice and hope to those engaged in the art of restoration!!! The speakers balanced Forum and "honey do's." And it was good, once again.

Ah yes the good ol days of chatting real-time. It was novel then, now there's chatting all over the web. And yes the forum posts flows so much that it's like chat only at a slower pace.

Anyways we we're supposed to have an official chat night on Thursdays and the rest of the time is whoever wanders in but it doesn't seem to happen as often. IF there's enough will out there we could revamp having an official chat night for the real-time chatting.

Aussie chat also died due to a lack of chatters, the good old days when we had lots of Aussies and Yanks on there to throw dirt at each other and try to teach them some Aussie slang.Them's were the days, just a memory now sadly.
