Fuel pump timing

I will be removing the fuel pump in my Hornet and would like to have the pressure on the pump arm minimized when I remove it. That will require that I know when the cam that drives the pump arm is at the lowest position. Does anyone know how that cam is timed relative to the valve timing? Can I look at the distibutor rotor position and know when the fuel pump cam is in the down position?
Thanks

Just loosen the 2 bolts so the pump is at least 1/8 inch away from the block and watch the pump as you turn the engine. When you see it raise, that's the high side and then it should drop and that's the cam on the low side. That's the position to use to install the pump. Also to reinstall... It's not usually a very easy place to work....a couple longer pieces of allthread of the same thread size can help keep alignment.0
