    Lockport 123 may have a radio for sale, pretty cheap! :D



    Don't know whether we'll make it down to your country or not- Mrs. seems to be waffling on going to the horse convention. It would be the weekend of Jan 16 if we come- will let you know. The Mighty Hornet is looking good!

    Story of my life, I had two radio's; one each from '51 and '52 Hornets respectively and thinking I would install Pioneer Car Stereo - KE3838 AM/FM Cassette which Rudy Bennett put in my last '53 Hornet with perfect dashboard fit; we located one, but owner refuses to ship? Unfortuantely I got rid of both Hudson units, I still have On/Off and slection tunning knobs, only need radio with buttons. Are the radio's you have in good working order with good clear face or require to be rebuilt, if so can 6 volt radio be changed to 12 volt?

    Ray, I'll check and let you know. I'm pretty sure they're the black dial faces. Don't think I have the grey marbeled ones,but as I said I'll check.:)

    Interesting, were the '52 clock and speedo also marbled in background field with brownist number's or look like pictures in my earlier post request of part's I.D. etc?

    Ray the radio dial was a marbled dial since it was plastic. The gas/temp gauge was painted with a grey hammertone. 52 only. Funny thing was you had an option to get the beige and black speedo and clock faces as well. In 53 it was beige and black only. Numerals were a light beige almost white with florescence to made them glow. Very few left glowing at this point.LOL.

    Thanks for sharing researched information which also may be helpful to other club members. Yes, I believe as the years pass your going require LOL and plenty of cash when restorating these fine old classic cars.

    I have what appears to be a NOS radio, radio face and cables. I don't know if it works buy I think it is new?.



    I guess that I didn't put enough info. I have what appears to be a new '35-'36 radio-complete.
