This pick-up is really one of a kind in a not so good way. 1936 guages, '37 Hudson grille surround with a Terraplane grille insert and a fabricated box. Seller might like to do more research prior to listing an asking price. It is shiny though!
  • That tailgate thing looks strange.......wondering what they were trying to accomplish by adding that.

Door panels look like an afterthought too. High dollar can be sought for well done resto-mods but that truck has design shortcomings IMO.
  • Putting the pricing of this truck in perspective, you could instead opt to buy this '38 Terraplane PU, which appears to be period correct:

and still have close to $70,000 left over.

I want some of what the owner of the '37 is smokin'.

That would be an easy decision. What a nice truck......
  • Hi everyone,

It seemed sad to me when I read the Ebay details of this truck.

In that information was the note that someone had cut a one foot off the back of the truck.

"When I got the truck, the bed had been already cut a foot and the tailgate was from some other vehicle. So, we used a little creative license with the rear section"

It was noted that he wanted it to look like a bed headboard.

Not worth the price and very hard to return to near its original state.

If I had loose cash to spend I'd take the 38.

That is sure a tacky-looking interior for a $119,000 truck! Those seats look terrible.

Turns out he's another "BJ brainwashed soul"! Oh, I mean Barret Jackson-LOL!

Thinks a totally restored all original compares to his 'redone' example. As always "let the buyer bewise" or more money than sense.

That truck was bought by Hyman at another auction recently for $26K, as mentioned earlier. That hotrod TP truck is trying to be too many things at once! He has a real nice '36 dash in it, with seats and aluminum that have no place in the build. The truck bed needs a complete re-do, or replacement, as it fits a custom build. The wheels and tires scream resto. So, what the hell is this $119K truck supposed to be? Find a theme and build to that! It looks like crap, hate to say!

Looks like the auction finally ended... whew!!! I thought we might be setting a new record and standards for future venues. I mean with reclining black simulated leather sport seats @ $150 a pop from Summit, plate steel headboard truck bed "air brake" spoiler, brushed / stained aluminum interior panel behind the seats, and missing air cleaner wing nut features (just to name a few) this vehicle has it all...

Would someone just pony up the $119k and buy this truck so it doesn't come up for auction again and we don't have to drool all over it again...:p

6 figures ?! I'd be lookin at a house and not a truck. And it's not like it's a special bodied Duesenberg. There must be better recreational drugs out there all the time. Glad I never tried any.
