Hudson Parts Sale - Venice,CA 1/16/10
Keith Chamberlin Estate Garage Sale - Sat, Jan. 16, 10:00am to 2:00pm
1053 Superba Ave. (1/2 block north of Lincoln Blvd.)
Venice / West LA.
Keith Chamberlin, a 40-year SoCal chapter member, passed away in November. Over the years, Keith had a 47 PU, 49 S6 and 55 Hudson. The '55 and a huge Buick Electra are for sale. Keith ran a service station in Venice, and despite a club 'garage sale' at the shop in the 90's, still had a fair amount of Hudson parts from 30's thru '57
Among the treasures - 2 to 3 sets of hubcaps, several water pumps (mainly cores and couple new), new 10" pressure plate, several clutch disc cores, carburetor cores & rebuild kits, several used WW vac motors (1 new), several fuel pumps & nearly 12 hoses for same; 50's generator, 50's starter, 2 starters with external solenoids using linkage to engage the Bendix.
Literally scores of new boxed plugs, points, condensers and caps, and a fair amount of orig Hudson accessories (batt minder, adhesive split screen window tint), Motor / trans mounts (orig & AMC). A nearly full case of canned Hudsonite from various vendors.
Tune-up gear is from a number of mfgs (Echlin, BorgWarner, Carter, etc ), parts are 'grouped' and fairly well marked.
An entire box of original Hudson manuals & shop-labor guides, and several boxes of Motor Manuals and shop-labor guides.
Also have a rear-end housing, flange to flange('52+?, removable cover) and basket case differential.
Complete, late model Snap-On Air Conditioning Service tool set, fills a large wall-mount cabinet, with vacuum pump.
Quite a number of portable tool boxes with odd-collection of tools in each, some gas station-abilia (cabinets, fixtures, etc), and the usual home garage car-nut stuff, floor jacks, stands, etc.
Plus a few boxes of stuff for other cars, usually marked.
You may contact Keith's daughter Catherine at 310-396-4810 or grandson David at (310) 927-3973.

I had no idea Keith Chamberlin passed away, and I have been a member of the SCR for 40 years. He worked on my Hudson's when I was in High School. My parents bought my graduation present, a 1957 Hudson from him. He was a super nice and honest person. He will be missed.0
