Think that it is the same guy who was selling some Hudson parts a while ago. Said that he was cleaning out some of his father's things. No pre-Stepdown so I did not look further into what he had.0

Just talked to the owner. He says it is a Commodore 6 and it does run. needs complete upholstery and brakes. He says frame is solid and very little body rust. Have an appointment to see it onSaturday morning. Will try find out as much as possible.

How about an update if you made it out to see this vehicle?0 -
Saw the car Saturay morning. The owner wasn't home, so did not hear it run. It appears to be good parts car. The rear (horseshoe?) frame is rusted pretty badly and both rocker panels are rusted. Interior is stripped, but all seat parts and frames are there. Body is in pretty fair conition, some dents, but not a lot of rust. Car has a radio, but don't know if it works. Dash has been repainted and instruments are in good condition. Left rear door glass is broken, but owner said he has a replacement. All other glass is in good shape. Car is stored outside, and we had about 6-8 inches of snow where the car is. Owner says engine runs but overheats. He has replaced water pump and thermostat, but it still runs hot. Radiator may be plugged. He says tranny shifts smooth ans has no slipping. Not sure if tranny is Hydramatic or Borg Warner. I don't need a parts car, so you guys have at it.

Drove out 3hrs from metro Detroit to see how bad this car is last Friday night. The rear "horse shoe" is completely gone as is most of the structure from the rear tires back. The mid cross members have rusted away from the side rails on the passenger side (those doors don't open). In fact none of the doors fit properly (Perhaps the structure is that far gone). When I opened the drivers Si door I was looking right into the rocker. Most of the claims the owner made on the phone were false in reality. The "decent floors" are riddled with pot riveted patches. The break system had been dismantled along with the interior. One bright spot, 8 degrees out, through a battery in it and the darn thing started with out hesitation. Of course the exhaust system is shot but she really wasn’t very loud. Nice dash too. Needless to say I left her where I saw her.0

Well, there's certainly more than a thousand dollars worth of parts there.0

While doing my daily craig list search for Step Downs a ghost from winter past has possibly re-appeared.

The new post shows the car in Battle Creek MI now, probally a new owner who has tinked with the old girl and got it moving with a new coat of primer.
I am up loading a comparison of the images from the posts. Both cars are missing the same trim and drivers side rear door window. Both have an aged wide white on the front only.If this is the same car be careful.0 -
Im going to buy it, bring it over here to Detroit Metro, put a coat of Shiny on it and tack on another couple thousand $$s.0
