Website Design Needed for Hudson Business
Well, I did it. Last Monday I gave notice and tomorrow is my last day at work. I quit a very high paying sales management position in the worst economy since the depression. Big gamble but I'm going to give this Hudson thing a shot. More details to follow shortly. I still need to talk with a few of you for additional ideas / options.
So... I need to hire someone to develop a website to my needs. I've got one lead but if you know of any good guys that do this designing, please have them PM me for details. Thanks, Niels

What about Dan from Rambo's Ride? He needs the work, and is a great website designer AND you can keep it "all in the family", so to speak.0

Neils,
Not to take business away from anyone here,
but I type with just my left index finger & I hate the internet ....
That said, I realize it is necessary to communicate with people
who might be prospective buyers on the internet.
A few years ago, I built our website just by myself.
Consider the option of building your first website using
a good host with a good built in design support system.
Chances are that just starting out your money can be better spent elsewhere

Then, by all means, try and support a member of your community forum
I wish you good luck in your business launch

Actually - you're both right
If all you need is a static website (ie. content does not change a lot, no custom coding or graphics) there are a lot of tools available to enable you to get a web presense with a very low-cost of entry and still be able to DIY.
But, if you need a dynamic content driven website, localisation, custom graphics and/or database(s) for managing your site and business then you really have to dive into the technical stuff and have lots of time on your hands - or hire someone out to do the work.0 -

Don't know what your plans are regarding parts and if you have a source already in mind, but as a thought it might be an idea to hook up with Jim Harmon out of Oregon.
His name and contact is in the roster or I would be glad to provide it to you if you like.

Hello Rick, Dan (Rambo) and all! I have the window channeling business. This is a great "Thread", I am having a website made and this info will help alot, (( but those that must create, build and maintain a customer base REALLY need to show what they have to offer, in a very neat, organized and professional manner which is easy to read and navigate, & provide good quality product(s) and exceptional service, at a reasonable price.)). Getting ready to retire and this website will help get away from the "Honey Does" (I Hope)0

Retired + married = captive "honey-doer". LOL
