Molding

I have a 1950 Hudson Pacemaker, an early one with oval trim. I am in need of the rear quarter moldings, the oval style, not eyebrow. They measure 44 3/4"' long. The ones I have were drilled and attached by sheet metal screws. I would appreciate any help in getting new ones or if someone knows of a good stainless welder. Thanks.

They are in the process of being reproduced. Do a search of this forum and you will find the thread. Those pieces are used on 48-49 in stainless and painted from 51 and up. The Eyebrow is a one (50) year only part. Lucky you have an early model with the 49 oval.
  • I also need those two pieces, but do not know if I have eyebrow or oval, what difference will I see by looking at them.

    Thanks
  • I can straighten and polish the ones you have and the holes can be fixed as well.........just let me know

The cross section of the oval moulding is a smooth 1/2 oval shape. The eyebrow is the same width but the cross section has a "dip" in it. That's the only way I know how to describe it. other than if it isn't a smooth oval shape it's eyebrow. You can compare it to the 51'sthat had a stainless trim halfway down the lower door section that is an "eyebrow" shape. ;) I'm sure one of the wordsmiths on this forum can describe it better.
  • Looks like I have the eyebrow one, it dips in the middle as tou described. Thanks
