Had a few minutes this morning to look over the listing of cars at the Barrett Jackson sale that is currently going on. (http://www.barrett-jackson.com) and did not see much more than a lot of used cars and trucks for sale. Only a few pre-war cars and most of those were hot-rods. There were three Hudsons listed. On Tuesday lot #618.1 has a 56 pink and black Nash (listed as a Hudson) that is nice. On thursday Lot#694.1 has a 49 Hudson Sedan cop car. The car is very well documented. Saturday Lot # 1250 has the "Grapes of Wrath" modified 26 Hudson Biddle and Smart bodied car. Not my cup of tea... I think I would have rather had the original rusted hulk to play with. I think it is the lack of quality and the spare tire "boat-tail" that kills it for me. The only think that 'flipped my wig' was a 30 Chevrolet Roadster Pick up. There ya have it...

Brownie, I had the same reaction when I perused the listings. The most ho-hum bunch I've ever seen for a B-J auction.
  • Lot #94 is a pretty nice '41 pickup with Twin H engine. Probably WAY beyond my ways and means!

Where you live it went just before Midnight. Here in the Rocky Mountains it was just before the 10 O' Clock news. I did pre-empt a bit of Jay Leno so that I could watch it. It showed very well....
