1953 Hudson
First I would like to say hi to everyone. This is my first post at this site. I currently own a 1953 hornet club coupe. The car was purchased in the mid 70's by my father, I remember it was sitting on a hill with 4 flat tires, the car was complete. My older brother tried to hot rod it  But, lost interest in it soon after. The car sat in our back yard for 20 plus years  My wife and I decided to restor the car in 2003. Many thanks to bill albright for the wonderfull restoration done to the car. I just did my first showing with ventura vintage rods (harbor run 15 show) It was the only hudson at the show  pics can be seen at wwwventuravintagerods.org.
Thanks, hudsonley JLPEREZ

Yes rick, I have been a member for many years. My little one (four years old) really likes riding in it, she calls it the oldie car, But it doesn't have disney radio.0

Haha.. I got a little girl that just turned 4 years old last Sunday....
a couple of weeks ago, to show how much my little girl likes riding in my Hudson, we were over at my parent's house, doing something, and she wanted to go for a ride so bad, she cried when i told he we could not...
She likes riding in the hudson, mainly the drives are around our area backroads, etc... not much else...
I got to get it out this weekend a drive it at least once, it has not been driven for two weekends... way too much to let a hudson sit!!!!
And coincidentally, mine is into the whole disney thing as well... I don't even know how she even started picking up on it.....
Oh well, at least she likes Hudsons!!!!0 -
Yes it's cool that were starting them at a young age to like hudsons. Growing up my father had old cars. Guess that's were I got the bug from. Need to get a digital camera to post a pic of her helping pops clean the car (too cute)0

Beautiful car! Welcome to the forum, lots of great folks here. BTW, my five year old son Tristan really loves the '54 and we take rides whenever possible. He's a gearhead like his dad, my two older sons could care less. Oh well...0

I met Nancy back in 1995 when she first published her book. She gave my daughter Elise a autographed copy of her book. Elise was 12 at the time. Unfortunately she is not into Hudsons like her two older brothers. Maybe someday.0

I Spent Over A Year Doing This Car For Mr Perez, A Very Appreciative Customer. It Turned Out Great And Am Glad To Have Another Happy Customer. You Cant Please Them All, But We Try Here At Vintage Coach, Hudsonly Bill Albright0

J.L., congrats on a beautiful car (you too, Bill!). And, how great that you're not afraid to get it out so that non-Hudson folks can appreciate it!0

Thanks for the thumbs up guys, Couldn't do it with out bills knowledge on hudsons. Best part of showing the car is sitting back and seeing all the people admiring the car, then I'll pop the hood then show the gold 308 Twin-H with red air cleaners, they really get a kick out of it. Next week 10/22/05 I'm entering the car in the primer nationals at the ventura fair grounds, Should be fun.
Take care, JL perez0 -
Congrats on a beautiful car! Nothing like a big ole' Twin-H to remind folks what part Hudson played in vintage rodding.
My 5 year old loves the Wasp, or as she calls it "The Wasper"
Ask her if she likes it, you'll get this answer
Gotta train them young.
