Door Handles-1936- Inside and outside

What you see are the door handles for my 1936 Hudson English Built Sport Saloon. I am missing the right side outside door handle. The handle with the lock is for the left side of my car. I would expect that both front doors would have locks?
Does any of these handles match handles on 1936 Hudson 8's? (the six inch scale is a bit hard to read but the outside door handle measures 5 1/2 inches and the inside handle measures a little less than 4 inches)
What I am missing on the inside is two door handles (like the small on shown)? They are an inch shorter than the outside handles and do not have the square shaft. I am also missing two inside window crank handles.
My options inside would be to find a complete set of 4-door inside handles and window cranks and keep them all the same. On the outside I expect that I will have to have some made. Anyone have a good source?

Brownie,
My 36 Terraplane only has a locking handle on the passenger side, which was pretty common. So yours may only have one locking handle, I'm not sure how the English version was.
Also, your handles, both inside and outside are different than a 36 Terraplane. There again, I'm not familiar with what a Hudson handle would look like.
I mention this to answer your question about possible sources, it looks like a 36 Terraplane won't help. Good luck.0 -
Brownie, those handles must be unique to the Brit-built cars. Different from standard US 36 models (yours are fancier). For safety reasons Hudson's standard practice until '47 was to put the door lock only on the passenger side. They wanted to discourage the driver from getting out on the "traffic side." You were supposed to lock the driver's door, then slide across and get out on the curb side.0

Brownie: I suspect your handles will be similar if not the same as those used in other custom bodied British cars made when your 36 was created. I am no source for British custom body expertise but thought you might be able to ... cut to the chase... and focus your search. Also, Steve Traut an HETer who has experience in casting parts might be a source for remanufacture if you are unable to find the specific handles.0 -
I found some handles at at swap in Florida, from a guy called "The Handle Man" out of So. Carolina. He had bins of handles and had exactly what I needed for my 36 H. He even cut a new key for one of the handles.
Check Hemmings as well.

Thanks for the comments. I am a member of the ROC and am working that angle. Bottom line, did not expect to find any. What I need now is someone who can make some for me. Anyone have any suggestions--anyone you have used?0

If the ROC or other sources don't pan out, which apparently they haven't, as WildWasp mentioned above, first person I would contact would be Steve Traudt, who makes various castings for Hudsons and is in the casting business. Since you have a good example, a mold could be made. Steve has had some health issues as of late, but is now back up and in operation again.0 -
Thanks folks, I've sent Steve an email and waiting to hear from him. If I do not hear from him in a day or two, I'll give him a call.0
