So, I've been working on my 52 Hollywood, and knew that the trunk lid I got with it was from a 49, but I had a 52 lid sitting around so I wasn't too worried. Well, long story short, the 52 lid is so messed up, it can't be fixed. Anyone have a spare? I realize shipping will be a little steep, but the clock is ticking and I want to get this car painted. I have already checked with the local guys....no luck.

Also, I am still looking for the piece of stainless that goes on the inside, top of doors. I have a left side, but will take a pair if you have them. I got the rest of the stainless parts from Russell and Lance, but still need this last part.......thanks guys. Here is the one I have.

Thanks to Lance Walker and Charlie Harris, I now have the trunk lid and interior stainless pieces I need for the Hollywood. I am getting closer every day.......It's great to be part of the Hudson Community. Thanks again guys.

Good, Don! I'm glad you found another deck lid. I was hesitant to tell you that I have a spare due to it being rather rough and would need some work to be a good one. I'll hold onto it as a spare (just in case) with the hope of never having to need it.

Are you going to post pics? Remember, we all love pictures.

This one is from a 52 sedan. I expect it would have fit, but then you do not need one anymore. I know this is just rubbing it in a bit, but I missed the Forum yesterday and did not have a chance to offer my old deck lid. I guess it gets to stay as wall art for the time being. Got to love a group of folks that can step up and offer so much help in the way of advice, parts and service. Good luck on the project. What will the colors be?

A Hollywood uses a coupe or conv. deck lid.

As Dave said, the HLWYD decklid is quite a bit bigger than your sedan decklid and would take an inordinate amount of work to add to it to make it fit. 2DR decklids are at least half again as long as the sedan/brougham decklids.
