How does this come apart?

The above is a 37 Hudson Headlamp bucket with a sealed beam conversion.

Does anyone know how to take it apart? The outer ring has a opening shown. There is a silver painted inner ring on the SB. Trying to push or rotate the SB does not make it move.

Also I now have the glass lens, does anyone have two reflectors?

Are other parts needed to put this back to stock?

Thanks,

Have you contacted Donald Axelrod in Massachusetts, hdlthqtrs@aol.com ? He's been selling antique headlamps for decades. He might have parts, or even complete units, to sell. I have no idea how the sealed beam unit was captured in the shell. Does it still have the screw at the bottom (which originally released the lens)? Maybe this holds the sealed beam unit in, as well.

Got my 36's from Donald. He should be able to get you all that you need including how to take that one apart. Great vendor to work with. He has a day job so be patient.....
