nice butt on it was the first thing that crossed my mind when I brought up the pic. LOL0

Like to see pics of the frame. Looks like that car sat outside for a lot of years.0

With the rust showing through the quarters I'm guessing swiss cheese has fewer holes. The Glove box door says Hudson Wasp It should read Super Wasp, and with no Twin-H? Not worth the starting bid!0

I'm betting this is not a "super" but a plain wasp with added fender spears! The trunk emblem and glove box door give it away. If the snow wasn't four feet deep I'd take some pics of my 53 Super Wasp sd. I passed on fairly solid 52 wasp CC last year for $500 less than this one and it ran, poorly but it ran. I guess it all depends on your view. I already have a 52 CC and the proper twin-h to go on it. To me not worth over $1,500!!0

Yes on eBay rare adds 2K to the price extremely rare adds 4K and RARE in caps means 8k or more. Yup its a crock. If its so rare restore it and I will buy the finished car off you.0

Oh - come on , you guys are just spoiled , wish I would have had something half that good to start with !!0 -
kinda sad that all you experts are so negative about someone elses car. i think its just nice the car survived all these years. you guys sure are petty, wrong glove box door, added fender spears, wrong trim. lets see some pics of the experts cars and lets see what nice remarks show up on this forum. come on guys its just a old car, get a more positive outlook. negative negative, negative:)0

HI everyone, I have the same car. I think mine just says "Wasp" on the glovebox door, mine is original and is a "Superwasp". I suppose the glovebox door could have been changed.Walt, does your car say "Superwasp"?0
-
And it just says "Wasp" on the trunk.0

come on...Commenting on these cars is half the fun.... plus no one has said anything that wasn't true yet. I'm agains't being PC (politically correct). I always ask people "why is it politically incorrect when your correct?".0

irregardless of the above opinions of the car, you've missed a few points in re rarity: it is stick shift with o.d.!0

The Super Wasp sd does. So did the one I sold. Both 53s. Last Summer I bought 8 51-53 & 1 54 Hudsons half were wasps, 2 supers & 3 regular.0 -

I'll admit I'm a lucky f%&*. I'm the second owner of southern car (with an original 1955 TJ interior) that was parked in a shed in1960. No it is not perfect! It came with ALL the paper work, I know he traded a 49 C8 sd for it, and the fender, bumper, & hood were dented from his 16 year old son who just got his drivers license. I paid a lot less than what this guy is asking.0 -
Nice headliner!0

Hudson308 wrote:You're absolutely right. This car has alot more going for it than the '48 coupe sitting in my driveway. I actually like the car... especially because it's a stick. I emailed the seller asking about the VIN. 4C would indicate a Wasp, 5C a Super Wasp.
Do you mind if I ask what you paid for your coupe?0 -
I don't think yours looks bad at all. Looks like all the panels are in good usable shape! Comparing yours to that wasp is not an apple to apple comparison. IMO (maybe cabin fever had something to do with your responses- hang in there spring IS coming)
ps nice quote and I'm sure it is true!0 -
I agree that stateline has turned his car into a sweeeet ride! Kudos to him! And that spring coming tomarrow would tickle me to no end! Last fall Saw all new brakes, lines and all,the rearend being made ready for the road, and friday the engine kit from Dale Cooper showed up so the machine shop can finish the #matching motor. It won't be long and I'll be burning the tits off those Wide whites.0
