1939 112 Sedan on ebay

I just plain like the look of these 112 sedans. Love the rear true prewar look. Great for bombing along in a gangster movie.

What a nice original car, with a great dash. Has the deluxe clock also. I'm partial to 39's anyway.

Yes! Those are the correct tail lights. I have a pair of those that I got from the fella that hot rodded a 112 sedan.

Here is a chance for some of those parts that you need for your truck!

Rick, I agree. This car is way too nice to turn it into a parts car. If my "restoration buddy" would agree to help me I think I might consider putting in a bid. Probably will not make the reserve this time. Might consider it next time it comes for sale; if that happens. Sure looks like a solid car. The lines on the rear of the car appear to be really straight.

I sure like those tail lights. Does anyone reproduce lenses for them? were they an option. I have seen 39's with the round tail lights up further on the fenders or even on the body.

Those lamps were the only ones we had here in Australia for the 39-112, the other round ones were used only on the 1938 Terraplane.

I am used to seeing 38 and 39's with this style of tail light. Here is a 39 Coupe.

If you pulled the engine rebuilt it and got it running I would almost be tempted to just drive it the way it is for a while. Sure looks like a nice car. Blanket over the seat and off you go.

Looks like it might be a utility coupe as it has the gas cap in the fender instead of the body. Don't know how practical that slide-out bed is but they sure look neat!

I'm going to harness a guess here on the round vs. oblong taillights. Might the round taillights be on a 92 series car? Butler isn't much help here, as rarely is there a picture of the rear of the car.

The elongated taillights are certainly more elegant, IMO.

The round tail lights as shown on the yellow coupe are for Series 89 & 90 Coupes and Convertibles (38 & 39 112). However, I have seen 38 Terraplane tail lights on a 39 112 Coupe! Apparently it is fairly easy to play mix-and-match with some of these assemblies.

I sent a couple of '38-'39 "frog eye" pics to Rick and asked him to post them to this thread so you can see more clearly what they look like.

A long time ago I had a '39 Pacemaker, Model 91 Coach that had the "frog eye" style tail lights on the side of the body. For that reason I kind of thought the tail lights on this '39 112 were incorrect too, but the above discussion seems to reflect the vertical tail light was right for the 112. I knew the vertical style was used on the greater series cars.

Its back and with a BIN of $7,595. So Rick you were right on pricing. Why would you pay that for this car when you can get the Country Club sedan that is more complete and better buy for $7500 posted a while back on this forum. Shaking my head.

Must be that "RARE" factor that we talk about all the time that makes it worth so much money.. Either that or there is 5K hidden in the car somewhere to help you restore it?
