Wish I could pick it up. 38 and '39 is not my favorite model years but I sure like how the long wheelbase stuff looks. There may not be a surviving example of every model Hudson offered in those two years, and there was a lot. Maybe some endangered or extinct cars from those years.
  • Paint still looks pretty good. Wonder if they rebuilt the motor when they restored it way back or was it just a good paint job. Motor does not run but could just be something simple. I love these cars. And another example of those nice rear tail lights.

Good looking car. I like it. I like the long wheel bass with headlingths in the fender, and the tear drop tail lights. It will make someone a good looking driver. Wish I could afford it.

    Have a good day. Lee

Not a bad price. I've seen alot worse for more money. Depending on what needs to be done to the engine, it would be a fun car to drive as it is.
  • I really love the looks of these cars. They're kinda homely but that is what makes them so appealing. Of course, the sealed beam headlights on this car would have to go! .

According to Don Butler (The History of Hudson) the Series 93 & 95 were 122" wheelbase. The Series 97 was a whopping 129" WB. If you look on pg 239 bottom right hand corner, you will notice that the Series 97 used a coupe door for the drivers and passenger door!

I've only seen one Series 97 (Madison 2003) but I swear you could play soccer in the space between the front and rear seats. :D
